Kitty, kitty, little star…

TAIKO Ah, yes, the “perils” of living in a ground floor flat when spring’s kitten season has come and gone… and left behind all sorts of wee ones wandering about looking for homes before they wind up as some animal’s dinner… No room at the inn for these little ones at the local animal shelters and rescue groups; there are too many to take in :-(.

About ten days ago, this little lassie turned up at our door, quite literally.

If she had been tall enough, she would have rung the bell.

How could we say no? She’s turned out to be a sweet little munchkin with a very endearing personality! 😉

After trying out numerous names, we have settled on

Tiger Lily

  1. Oh what a little love! My new one has a similar look! Congratulations.

    • Little love, indeed! How interesting that yours has a similar look. We’ve never had a tortoiseshell before. She is quite chatty—or should I say squeaky!

      • Yes, small torties and calicos seem to have squeaky voices! My new cat is a tortie on her back and then her underside is calico, so technically that makes her a calico, but when you see her walking around the house she looks like a tortie–all black and tan. Such sweethearts.

  2. That is one cute little calico. Glad she found the right people to adopt. 🙂 –Curt

  3. She is absolutely gorgeous! Warms my heart! 😀 ❤

“There are two lasting bequests we can give our children: One is roots, the other is wings.” Teaching children values and giving them the opportunity to excel is essential to good parenting. However, I feel I must also provide my children (and myself) insight into the ones who came before us: our ancestors whose lives and stories have shaped us into who we are. This is my journey; these are their stories…
